Recruitment is all too often seen to be a costly and time consuming task, one which usually has to be dealt with by an over worked Manager!

At Amelia Bond we work in partnership with our clients to assist them through the whole process. Initially, this begins with a face-to-face meeting with the recruiting manager and any other key “decision makers”. From this, we can start to understand your business need and the sort of candidate that is going to best meet your requirements. We can then create a plan of action along with timescale and deadline setting.

In addition to this, we can also be of assistance during the interview process. We always interview our candidates on registration, but often, our clients like to have us present either at the 1st or 2nd interviews. We will be guided by how much assistance you require and act accordingly.

To enable us to find the right candidate for you, we use a variety of methods.

Contingency Database Search

Our active database is constantly driven by substantial recommendations along with our own in-house advertising. We have an ever-increasing number of Partners, Lawyers, Paralegals and Legal support staff actively looking for new roles. In addition, we are in constant contact with a select few legal specialists who are not actively looking, but would rather be contacted when a very specific position comes along.

This method of recruitment is the most cost effective and often the fastest option; payment is due when the successful candidate has commenced employment.

Advertised Assignment

Occasionally, a database search does not provide a broad enough selection of candidates for a specific role. Sometimes, that perfect candidate may be living 300 miles away and simply isn’t aware of your opportunity. In this instance, it is sometimes necessary to look at marketing the role at a national level rather than expecting a local candidate to be suitable. Advertising has the ability to target an enormous audience. In addition, with good quality design, layout and positioning, it can offer extra benefits to your firm. For example:

  • Raises your profile.
  • Can work alongside other PR activity.
  • Increases general awareness in the legal marketplace.
  • Once the advert has been designed, it can easy be used as a template for further advertising.

Search & Selection

In some instances, the only option to really consider is a search assignment. We often recommend this method when we feel your vacancy is either very specialist or you need to recruit a high level position quickly. It is also becoming more popular in areas of law where there now is a severe candidate shortage.

This is very much a bespoke service; it requires commitment from both of us to meet deadlines. All potential project work is discussed prior to commencement of work and agreed by both parties.
